Making gold in Everquest 2 is an easy process. And as you know, if you make enough gold, you can even sell a decent portion of it online and make some real money. So how do you turn EQ 2 into a money making machine? Well, there are several methods that you can use to increase your gold, all of which involve, to at least some degree, dependence on other players.

My first tip is probably a no-brainer. Keep up your gathering, woodcutting, trapping, mining, and fishing skills. Always practice on anything you can interact with in the world. Most of the items you find are worthless, but occasionally you will find a rare item or higher level items that can net you some real cash. This particular strategy gets easier the higher level you are, so keep gaining levels as well. Use the broker to sell all of these items, just as long as they are earning more that a few copper each. I've found that iron and tin clusters really sell for a high price, so gather as many of those as you can. Rares will net at least a gold or two, so always look for those. To really pull in a decent amount of money gathering tradeskill items, you should probably be around level 40, which could take you some time to attain. Always remember to use the broker to sell these items, and keep an eye on their current going price in your server.

Questing is a great way to earn cash, partly because of the flat fee they give you, but also because of the items that you can get for completing the quest. By selling these items on the broker, you can earn a hefty amount. As you get into the higher levels, quests will give you more money and better items, so that's also some incentive to keep training.
